About Me

Let's see... I read that people like blogs to have an "about me" page, so here goes. I read voraciously, everything from mystery novels to so-called chick lit, from books on simple living and urban homesteading to autobiographies of presidents (usually not of this century however!). This blog will not keep up with my complete reading habits. I've given up on that. But I will try to update with the most interesting books I am reading.

By day, I'm a software designer and web content writer. The two go hand in hand to me. When I design software, I need to figure out what people want to and provide them with a clear path towards that end. When I write web content, I need to balance what site visitors want to do with what site owners would like them to do--and provide them with a clear path towards those ends, which hopefully intersect.

I also love to garden, cook, and write (obviously) and run my own small business. I have blogs or sites devoted to each.
