I'm not a big "romance" reader, although I like to think of myself as a bit of closet romantic. But Shirley Jump belongs to an online writing group and she is a delightful contributor. So I thought what the heck? I knew her books couldn't be bad. But I didn't expect to enjoy them quite so much! Boy, have romances come a ways!
Candance is about to be married, having found someone as predictable as she likes, making her feel secure and in the comfortable rut that is her life. Three weeks before the wedding, she's singing the margarita-driven blues into the lap of a confirmed oh-so-cute bachelor. The sparks are flying even while they're both trying to deny the existence of sparks. Complete with chocolate-laden recipes and a wonderful style, The Bride Wore Chocolate is a wonderfully entertaining light novel.
